HMV DT500 Cassette Deck

The DT500 is a good sounding cassette deck from the 70ties. It comes with the standard features like Dolby B noise reduction, counter and manual tape/bias selection.

This unit is well built with a thick aluminium fascia and two nice large VU meters. With the metal plated piano keys for operations and full metal record volume knobs, it leave the impression of an expensive unit that was built with quality in mind.

To get the DT500 back to perform like in its stock condition, we carried out the below service:

• Replacement of Capstan
• Cleaning of heads and capstan
• Demagnetisation of heads and capstan
• Speed calibration
• Full function test
