The CS-F110 is good sounding 2-head cassette deck from the early 80ties. Build quailty is good, but the fascia is made out of plastic. Particularly nice are the VFD VU meter that are on the front of the device.
To have it operating within its original specs, we carried out the below service:
- Replacement of capstan belt
- Replacement of ffwd/rwd belt
- Lubrication of capstan and flywheel
- Cleaning of capstan with chemical
- Cleaning of heads
- Demagnetisation of heads and capstan
- Replacement of pinch roller
- Playback level calibration
- Speed calibration
- Full function test
