This pair of vintage JBLs comes without grills. The JBL 8216A were aimed at professionals to be used in e.g. recording studios. They got a well balanced sound, but it becomes immidiately evident that these are JBLs after listening to some for a few seconds. I love the sound of these, great treble with good resolution integrating gently into the overall image the speakers produce. Quite impressive base for the size of the driver.
These speakers have been service once at “Audio 1” in Neutral Bay. A certified JBL dealer at the time and one of the tweeters must have been repaired. Thats why the color of the tweeter dome is different, but they are otherwise exactly the same. Overall condition of cabinet etc is not the greatest, but that does not affect their sound.
