Marantz Model 5000 Cassette Deck

Beautiful Marantz cassette deck out of the golden times, where Marantz still build quality devices. This cassette decke is built like a tank. Marantz did not cut any corners in the 70ties and only had quality in mind. The aluminium fascia that is in great condition is 4mm thick! Heart of the device is a sold two head mechanism, with heavy flywheel and a great playback/record head. The Model 5000 just looks beautiful it also does sound amazing.

To have it operating within its original specs, we carried out the below service:

• Replacement of capstan belt
• Replacement of ffwd/rwd belt
• Lubrication of capstan and flywheel
• Cleaning of capstan with chemical
• Cleaning of heads
• Demagnetisation of heads and capstan
• Removal and polishing of fascia
• VU meter adjustment
• Playback level calibration
• Speed calibration
• Full function test
