Marantz SD1015R Cassette Deck (serviced)

The SD1015R is the 2nd highest spec cassette deck from Marantz from 1980. Thats right out of the golden time. Just a few years later Marantz was bought up by a competitor and design as well as quality changed drastically. The SD1015R is built like a tank and we were quite impressed by its sound. To get it back to operate within original spec it has received quite a bit of service:

• Cleaning of capstan wheel and motor pulley from old rubber residue
• New capstan belt
• New logic control belt
• Lubribcation of capstan shaft and flywheel with high end oil and lithium grease
• Cleaning of all heads
• Cleaning of capstan with chemical
• Demagnetisation of all heads and capstan
• Speed Calibration
• Playback level calibration
• Record level calibration
• Full function test
