The Pioneer PD8700 features Pioneer’s “stable platter mechanism”. The CD is laying flat with the label on the platter (upside down). The whole platter than spins and the CD is read from the top. A small little window in the tray that gives you the ability to watch the platter spinning.
The whole front is full of functions and a keypad for direct track selection. With the included remote, the output level of the unit can be adjusted – especially great if you use a vintage amp that has no remote. Now you can adjust the volume of the music playing from afar.
From its performace, leaving all the features and the unusual mechanism aside, the PD8700 can convince with its musical sound and a wide soundstage.
This unit comes with 6 months warranty.
