Is your A77 sitting in one of these really ugly grey suitcases? Always been jealous of people how owns one with this beautiful wooden cases that got that vintage look. you want?
We have designed replacement wooden cases for exactly this purpose. They are precision cut on a CNC and available in different finishes. The material we use is 12mm thick high grade plywood. That is the same thickness of the original cases. They can be purchased in just plain plywood to be treated by yourself. Or we can do multiple clearcoats to get it a lot darker vintage look.
As a slightly more expensive version the case can be veneered with American Cherrywood veneer, that comes close to the look shown in the first two pictures. Other wood options are available as well – feel free to reach out to us.
You might wonder how this conversion is possible without the plastic bits and pieces. All these parts can be easily removed from the old grey suitcase and transferred over to the case we provide. Detailed instruction for that will be included. The holes / mounts are pre-drilled to make it really easy. The new case will not have any room for speakers! Thats something that was only available for the suitcase that we want to get rid off.
If you are not comfortable with the conversion we can also offer to do that for you at some extra cost.
