Is your tape deck running at the correct speed? A Wow & Flutter test tape is one of the most important tools required for cassette deck servicing. There are quite a number of programs available that can be used on your computer or mobile phone to help analyze speed and how stable your deck runs (Wow & Flutter). It is quite easy to adjust the speed of the majority of cassette decks, easy enough that everybody can do it.
But it is essential that the tape used for testing is produced at the highest possible standard. Otherwise it would falsify the results and you would end up with a calibration that is off or you end up chasing a red herring if you think your Wow & Flutter is bad.
These tapes are recorded on a well calibrated Nakamichi Dragon with the one of the lowest Wow & Flutter you can have. The Nakamichi Dragon measured at 0.021% tested with an original Nakamichi W&F test tape. Thats the W&F these tapes are coming with! Better than mass produced tape that are usually guaranteed a W&F of the tape around 0.04%.
